Geveka's GRP gratings are available with different surface types such as gritted, concave and smooth. These surfaces are all antistatic and anti-slip! Because we can add color pigments during production, all our GRP gratings can be produced and supplied in any desired RAL color. In addition, our grates can be supplied to size, which reduces waste.
GRP gratings with a mild, gritted surface have a smaller and finer grain. This means you can even walk on it with bare feet without it hurting. Plastic grilles with a mild, gritted surface are therefore often used at locations such as marinas, water sports clubs, events and other recreational environments!
GRP gratings with an even higher anti-slip quality class are undoubtedly the gratings with a coarse grit surface. This sanded (grit) surface is created as soon as it is applied to the flattened surface together with a resin. There are then various options for treating the surface. The slip resistance of our GRP gratings is specified in anti-slip classes according to the BGR 181 and DIN 51130 standards. Our GRP gratings comply with anti-slip class R13 (> 35°, very high friction coefficient).
A concave surface is created when the path of the surface curves inward during the thermosetting process. A major advantage of these GRP gratings is the very good anti-slip properties without the sand grain surface.
A GRP grille with a smooth surface is created after the concave surface of the grille is smoothed after the thermosetting process. As soon as this process is stopped, the grille will have a very smooth surface. Grilles with a smooth surface are suitable for walls, ceilings and for decorative purposes.
The grilles with a closed deck are our Standard Grilles with a 3mm thick Grid plate on top. The Solid Top grids are extremely suitable for creating rough surfaces with a high load-bearing capacity for, for example, floors, corridors, walking paths, gangways and platforms. Because the grid is closed, raw materials cannot get stuck or fall through the mesh. The plastic grates are reliable and have excellent wear resistance and load capacity.
