Geveka has in the inner port of Genemuiden in which the existing scaffolding has plastic scaffolding grilles . This assignment was carried out in collaboration with W2 Support, which was looking for a safe, sustainable and low -maintenance solution for the scaffolding in the port.
The inland port is used daily by both professional shipping and recreational traffic. Under these conditions, traditional materials such as wood or metal are often maintenance sensitive or less safe. GVK grilles (fiber optic-reinforced plastic) was consciously chosen a material that is perfect for wet environments.
The benefits of GVK grilles:
The plastic gratings are mounted on the existing construction and now form a safe, comfortable and sustainable walking route for the port users. Thanks to the good drainage and the anti -slip structure, the risk of slipping is considerably reduced - even under wet conditions.
This project again showed how flexible GVK grilles can be applied, both in existing constructions and in new construction. Geveka not only supplied the material, but also thought along in the correct specifications and application for this location.
