Commissioned by one of our long-standing partners, Geveka made a significant contribution to the jetties at the Naval Port of Den Helder . GRP gratings were chosen for this project , a deliberate choice due to the heavy loads, strict safety requirements, and the need for a durable, low-maintenance solution.
The marine environment places high demands on materials. Constant exposure to water, salt, temperature fluctuations, and intensive use require solutions that are not only functional but also offer long-term reliability. Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) is the ideal choice in this regard:
The gratings we supplied for this project were fully adapted to the application on the scaffolding – both in terms of strength and dimensions.
The jetties are used intensively, including by naval personnel, supplies, and technical maintenance. Thanks to the selected GRP gratings, there is now a safe, stable, and durable surface that contributes to the overall safety of the site – even in wet or slippery conditions.
Met dit project bewijst GVK zich opnieuw als toekomstbestendig alternatief voor hout, staal of beton in natte en maritieme omgevingen. Geveka levert regelmatig maatwerkoplossingen voor onder andere steigers, kades, looppaden en bordessen – volledig afgestemd op de wensen van klant en locatie.
